The stickers along the bottom are highly suspect, so I made sure they were directly on the buffered page.

Korea is full of examples of "decorative" English used to adorn clothes or other items. A friend's son had a pair of pants with the Pink Panther featured on the side, along with the words "a dragonfly larva." I saw many girls wearing T-shirts proclaiming "World Famous Abscess." Things like this are a constant source of amusement to visitors. The following was taken from a plaque on a thirty-foot high model of the Statue of Liberty in front of the Koreana department store in Nonsan.

TO THOSE WHO LIKES LOVE OF PEACE

As you like peace and love others like love and peace. So to love others is to love you. To hate others is to hate you. So we erect a bronze statute of love, peace and freedom here, with the hope that the love and peace efflorescing in the heart of the person who sees this bronze statue and read these writings will overflow.
